- Applicants should prepare a request for this visa by giving Power of Attorney to a Panamanian lawyer to do so in your name. This Power of Attorney should specify the complete personal data for the attorney (i.e., office address, phone number, office's fax number and mail address). The request should also specify the number of the Panamanian Law under which the applicant is requesting the visa, the general data of the checks that are being sent (i.e., check number, bank's name, date, and amount) and same for all attached documents (such as certificate numbers and date of issuance). This document must be signed before a Panamanian Consul in the United States or before a Notary Public in Panama.
- Authenticated document certifying the following:
- The applicant's status as retiree or beneficiary of foreign governments, international organizations or private companies, showing that you are not involved in any particular activities.
- That the applicant receives a monthly annuity not lower that $500.00 or its equivalence in a foreign currency. If there is any dependent, please add the amount of $100 for each dependent to the monthly amount.
- If the applicant is retired or a beneficiary from a private company, he/she should show documents that guarantee, through the corresponding authority that the company is operating in the exterior; and attach a copy or payment receipt of the annuity.
- Health Certificate (valid for three months).
- AIDS Lab Test (valid for six months).
- Four "id" size pictures.
- Authenticated copy of the passport.
- Marriage and birth certificates of the dependent family, in the case of a family.
- Affidavit of support to spouse and dependent children.
- One additional copy of all accredited documents, including passport.
- Good conduct certificate (Police Record) from the place you last resided for two years.
- When the visa is made extensive to the spouse and children, all above mentioned documents should be accredited, instead of points numbers 2 and 3. In the case of children under the age of 18 years old, it is not necessary to show certificate of good conduct.
- All documents written in another language should be translated to the Spanish by an authorized public interpreter.
- AUTHENTICATIONS: Documents issued in the United States such as birth/ marriage/death/divorce/good conduct/police records certificates should be certified either by a Panamanian Consul in the United States or with the Apostille certification (see attachment).
- Good conduct/police records certificates should be requested directly from the Police Department of your last place were you resided in the United States (or abroad).
- THIS VISA DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO WORK IN PANAMA.
